Valve guide made from the normal material of sintered cast iron.
We use these in all our normal cylinder head reconditioning and they allow us to use the Cooper S style of umbrella valve stem seal for better sealing to resist oil being sucked down the inlet guide.
Racing applications may use other products.

Use of this guide and cooper valve seals has to be checked carefully when using hilift cams on small series heads with long collet groove valves, as clearance may be mnimal between seal and valve cap. Our performance long valves solve this problem.
